Duffy And The Dragon Boat Race
This lovely story is specifically created to support breast cancer survivor dragon boat teams.

Duffy the Dragon woke before the sun rose
With tingles of excitement from his snout to his toes
“Wake up little friend” said he to Turtle the cat
Who was still fast asleep on his favourite mat
“It’s race day today so let’s head to the river
I’m so excited my tail scales are starting to quiver”
“Alright”, said Turtle “I’ll go with you part way,
But I’ll not get too close to that river today.”
Turtle’s fear of the water was quite understood
For he was very nearly drowned on the night of the flood
King had jumped in when he saw the kitten afloat
But had forgotten to remove his heavy red coat
Duffy rescued them both, and his fate was revealed
For from that moment on their friendship was sealed
Duffy moved to the palace and King adopted the cat
Who since stayed clear of the water, far preferring his mat.
